Anne-Rigt Poortman Socioeconomic causes and consequences of divorce
Gedrukt boek
The present study examines the socio-economic causes and consequences of divorce in the Netherlands during the second half of the twentieth century. Are women with a better labour market position at a higher risk of divorce, and are men who are unemployed or have an unstable career more likely to divorce? The study also seeks to explain the influence of spouses' socio-economic positions on divorce. In addition, it takes into account the changes surrounding women's work, and the changing sex roles.
