Klausen researches the attitude of European governments towards the integration of Muslim minorities. Their policies are often perceived to be discriminatory, but are sometimes supported also by Muslim leaders. There is little disagreement that radical clerics should be kept out, although the general view is that Muslims have the democratic rights to say stupid things too.
