Bratsch La vie, la mort, tout ça
Het Franse combo Bratsch omschrijft zijn eigen muziek als ‘folklore imaginaire’ (fantasie-folklore) en als ‘pre-traditional’, dus als muziek die in de toekomst wellicht als traditioneel beschouwd zal worden. In feite speelt Bratsch muzikale fantasieën in de geest van uiteenlopende folkloristische tradities als zigeuner-, klezmer-, jazz- en (andere) Oost-Europese muziek. De vijf musici zijn allen grote improvisatiekunstenaars op de instrumenten bouzouki/gitaar, contrabas, klarinet, viool en accordeon....
