Supersedes the editor's earlier edition of the French text (Johns Hopkins dissertation, 1894) which made small use of the Latin Tractatus de Purgatorio Sancti Patricii of Henry of Saltrey. The revised text of Marie's version is given in parallel columns with the Latin (mainly from Brit. Mus. Harley ms. 3846, here printed for the first time). The appendix (p. 78-95) contains an additional Latin text, Brit. Mus. Royal ms. 13 B. VIII, printed in full for the first time
