Internet art changed from being a minority pursuit practised and seen by a very small number of people to being a phenomenon that receives main stream press attention, and is becoming a substantial presence in the art world. This book explores the character of this new, dematerialised online art. The author suggests that Net art may have radical implications for the way in which we think about art's authorship and ownership and also may influence our understanding of what is art and what is not.
