Deze dubbel-cd verschijnt ter gelegenheid van het 50-jarig jubileum van een van de bekendste en invloedrijkste (blues)gitaristen van deze eeuw. Het album bevat een selectie van de opnamen die B.B. King sinds 1964 maakte voor MCA Records. Hits uit de jaren '50 als "Three o'clock blues", "Woke up this morning", "Please love me" en "Rock me baby" staan er niet in hun originele, maar in latere live-versies op. Alhoewel de titel dus niet helemaal klopt is "His definitive greatest hits" dankzij klassiekers als "The thrill is gone", "When love comes to town" (met U2), "How blue can you get", "Ain't nobody home", "Everyday I have the blues" en "Caldonia" een waardevol document.
