Wat Shouf Shouf Habibi was in Nederland, was Kebab Connection voor de Duitsers. Een multiculturele variant van Romeo en Julia, waarbij Romeo aan Kung Fu doet. Geen wonder dus dat Carl Douglas' discoknaller Kung Fu Fighting een plek op de soundtrack heeft gekregen. Ook is er ruimte voor rapper Sultana (beroemd in Turkije), de Griekse zangeres Despina Vandi en Djamel Laroussi (Duitsland/Algerije), maar de meeste nummers zijn van de hand van filmcomponist Marcel Barsotti.
