Tien jaar na de zelfmoord van Kurt Cobain verschijnt de langverwachte box (3 cd's en een dvd) met restmateriaal en curiosa: de 'anthology' van Nirvana. Het project liep aanzienlijke vertraging op door onenigheid tussen de erven van Cobain en diens oude bandmakkers Dave Grohl en Krist Novelesic. Het gaat hier om demo's (o.a. van Smells Like Teen Spirit), live opnames, radiosessies en b-kantjes. Op de dvd staan obscure video-opnames van oefensessies en (instore) optredens. Dit ruwe materiaal is smullen voor de diehard fan, maar minder aantrekkelijk voor degenen die Nirvana vooral vanwege het goed geproduceerde succesalbum Nevermind waarderen. (MS)
