Na een korte tumultueuze carrière in de jaren zestig streek soulzanger Arthur Conley (Sweet Soul Music, Funky Street) neer in het Achterhoekse Ruurlo, waar hij tot zijn dood in 2003 zou blijven wonen. Als Lee Roberts & The Sweaters (een Nederlandse r&b band) gaf hij in 1980 drie concerten in de Amsterdamse Bijlmer. Opnames daarvan verschenen eerder op lp en zijn nu voor het eerst op cd uitgebracht. Deze fraaie editie bevat een dvd met de korte documentaire die Erik van Lieshout maakte voor de VPRO. Ook te zien is een aflevering van Reiziger In Muziek, geheel gewijd aan Conley. (MS)
