Veertig jaar nadat Johnny Cash het podium van de eetzaal van de Folsom-gevangenis opstapte, wordt het album bij dat optreden, At Folsom Prison, nogmaals uitgebracht. At Folsom Prison bleek later één van Cash’ beste albums en ook van belang om zijn loopbaan nieuw leven in te blazen. Op deze editie met twee cd’s en één dvd wordt het hele verhaal rond het ongebruikelijke concert verteld. Het concert staat integraal op de cd’s en bevat niet alleen de nummers die op het ‘originele’ At Folsom Prison uit 1968 staan. Zo zijn ook de aankondigingen en voorprogramma’s van Carl Perkins en The Statler Brothers te horen. Als extra ook uitgebreide liner notes en mooie foto’s van rockfotograaf Jim Marshall. (PdK)
