Met dank aan hun combinatie van jazz en hiphop, werd dit album het best verkochte jazzalbum van Blue Note met een wereldwijde verkoop van meer dan twee miljoen exemplaren. Vooral het aanstekelijke dance-nummer Cantaloop, gebaseerd op een sample van Cantaloupe Island van Herbie Hancock, bracht producers Geoff Wilkinson en Mel Simpson wereldfaam. (HB)
