Deze in 1982 op 47-jarige leeftijd overleden zanger en songwriter begon in de vroege jaren zestig als blues- en soulartiest maar brak een decennium later pas door in Groot-Brittannië met de theatrale glamrockband The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (SAHB). Deze box verzamelt zijn vroege werk, het ruime oeuvre van SAHB en veel rariteiten en live opnames. Een geïllustreerd boek over zijn leven laat zich bijna lezen als een roman vol bizarre avonturen en plotwendingen. (MR)
