Album
1970 is het dramatische jaar dat The Beatles uit elkaar gingen. Tegelijk was het een goed Beatlesjaar, want naast zwanenzang Let It Be brachten alle leden mooie soloalbums uit – bij elkaar opgeteld eigenlijk een soort White Album -deluxe. John Lennon ging dat jaar ook met zijn Yoko in schreeuwtherapie en schreeuwt op het sterk persoonlijke album Plastic Ono Band nog steeds om zijn jong overleden moeder. Plastic Ono Band is een intens geheel dat klassiekers bevat als Working Class Hero, Instant Karma en God, waarin Lennon verklaart niet in The Beatles te geloven. Deze versie van het geremasterde album bevat een extra cd met andere takes van alle nummers. Het piekfijn geremasterde originele album laat horen dat Lennons songs tijdloos zijn en de nog verse bevrijding van The Beatles hem - net als zijn ex-bandleden - goed had gedaan.
